Yesterday, I told you which magical fruits are in season during December and today I’m sharing a special holiday recipe I created with those same ingredients for all you lovebirds out there! All the ingredients included in this recipe have magical properties assisting with love, sex, fidelity, longevity, or prosperity. Of course, you can serve this to someone you aren’t romantically involved with – just replace the brazil nuts with pistachios, leave out the magical visualizations, and serve in smaller portions if that’s the case! Pistachios neutralize any effects of love or sex magic, and they add a little Christmas greenery to the dish!
As you make this dish, think about the one that you love and envision that bond growing stronger and farther than you can fathom. More specifically – as you peel and chop the ingredients, imagine cutting any negativity out of your relationship. As you stir and mix all ingredients in a clockwise manner, imagine more wonderful energies swirling into the wonderful relationship you already have. You can also serve this with vanilla ice cream if you like, as vanilla is filled with sensual and loving energies. There is no better place to eat this than under the mistletoe!
– 2 red apple apples (peeled, cored, and thinly sliced)
– 2 pears (peeled, cored, and thinly sliced)
– 3 cups rhubarb (chopped)
– 2/3 cup brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons water
– 1/2 cup flour
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 4 tablespoon chilled butter (cubed)
– 1/2 cup rolled oats
– 1/2 cup brazil nuts (chopped)
– 1/3 cup coconut
– pinch of ginger
STEP 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease 2 large, oven-proof bowls.
STEP 2: Combine apples, pears, rhubarbs, water, ginger, and half of the brown sugar into a large saucepan and bring to a bubbling boil.
STEP 3: Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
STEP 4: Split the mixture generously between the two bowls.
STEP 5: Sift flour and cinnamon together into a large bowl and rub the butter cubes into the mixture until they resemble breadcrumbs.
STEP 6: Stir in coconut, oats, nuts, and the rest of the brown sugar into the cubed butter mixture.
STEP 7: Split the mixture evenly over the two bowls of fruit and bake for 12 – 15 minutes or until the crumble is golden brown. Now enjoy it with that special someone!
